Hi, we're Arielle and Jeanine — a daughter and mom from Indianapolis, Indiana, and the hands behind every single piece you'll find in our shop.

It started simply enough. Arielle had always loved headbands — but kept running into the same frustrating problem. The ones she could find were uncomfortable, uninspiring, or fell apart after a few wears. Bad quality. Lack of style. Zero comfort. She was tired of settling.

Meanwhile, Jeanine had spent years quietly nurturing a love of sewing — a passion for fabric, texture, and the satisfaction of making something beautiful with your own hands.

We decided one day to just make one ourselves. We had no idea that single headband would turn into all of this.

That first headband led to another, and another. Friends asked where they could get one. Strangers at markets stopped to touch the fabric. And before long, A Knot That Binds was born.

You'll find us sewing side by side at the kitchen counter, spread out at the dining table, or settled on the couch in front of our favorite show. We each bring our own style and color palette — and together it just works. Our fabrics are chosen by hand, our prints are always rotating, and everything is made in small batches.

We take fabric selection seriously. We hunt for prints that feel fresh, personal, and different from what you'll find anywhere else — because we believe your accessories should feel like YOU.
